Backspacks 4 SA Kids

Backpacks 4 SA Kids is a great organisation helping kids who have been displaced from their family homes or in many cases have no home to go to. This could be for any number of reasons ranging from domestic violence and abuse to natural disasters.

At LJ Hooker Kensington | Unley, we take great pride in our commitment to supporting the community, and since 2019, we have been dedicated supporters of Backpacks 4 SA Kids.

Our team actively participates in annual collection drives and volunteers at the Backpacks for SA Kids warehouse, contributing to the organisation and packing efforts.

Backpacks 4 SA Kids is a remarkable initiative working across South Australia in collaboration with various agencies, including child welfare, child protection, family violence, homelessness organisations, and SAPOL. Established in 2012, the organisation aims to provide displaced children with age-appropriate backpacks filled with essentials such as clothing, toiletries, comfort items, books, toys, and school supplies.

LJ Hooker Kensington | Unley is honoured to be a part of this meaningful cause, helping Backpacks 4 SA Kids assist over 6,500 children and around 1000 carers annually, as the demand for their vital services continues to grow.
